I feel mass release of 5-10 chapters is better than doing this privilege thing ... many people save ss to just read the chapters released that day ..so it’s not a good idea for us

When i go to the TOC i only see 21 chapters, but i can read up to 71, are those 50 chapters supposed to be for privileged readers?
WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL is that the new system which replace Subscription system?
Bluntly put, GETTING PRIVILEGE is PAYING SS just so you can ONLY SEE CHAPTER TITLES of the stockpile.
@WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL My suggestion is that this point must be made extremely clear to ALL readers as they can all be considered potential buyers. This can be made through posting FAQs, revising content in "Privilege Rules", etc..
I really think all the rants are coming from the perspective that they felt cheated on what they paid for. Put simply, they did not get what they think they are buying. I also think that all the rants are avoidable had this been made clear to them.
Moving forward, I hope @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL and @Webnovel_Staff will read this reply and will consider how to improve on this privilege system.

First off, WebNovel must’ve given the job of responding to UNHAPPY customers(who gives money to your company) to the wrong employee. This is NOT how you respond to PR. Wrong job, get a new one.
Second of all, WebNovel used to be a really good app to use for readers who just enjoyed the content and some of us, including myself didn’t mind spending money purchasing ss. Now, you have all these “privilege” rules which a SCAM. I suggest your “marketing” team whom you probably pay a lot of money for have another meeting and think of a better strategy on how you can get more money from your customers because you’re about to lose a whole lot more. Or maybe just hire a brand new team if I were you.
Privilege means “a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.” This is NOT a special right nor is it a benefit to your consumers. They are to pay 400s for FIVE chapters? In other words, they are paying $8 for 5 chapters because to get at least 400ss cost about $7.99? Disgusting. Webnovel is about to lose a bunch of paying customers so I suggested your “management” team revisit your crappy strategies.

xmdvix What you say doesn't make sense. There are always such systems in the world. Take flying for example. People in first-class, business class pay 3x-10x more than economy class people. The plane brings them to the same place. They get to board the plane early and they enjoy more comfort on the plane, all for a flight that doesn't last even more than 24 hours. Yet, people do purchase those tickets. They are the 'privileged' because they pay for it.
Even further up, there are private jets.
Things like VIP lounges, VIP tickets to concerts. All these are privileged things people pay for to be 'different'.
Privilege is pretty much bought, never given.
Really ? I read it the other way as i didn't start from Triciavdu post but from your post about elite and privilege but with all the convo lined-up, Paneb post could indeed have been about elite. Not than i care, it doesn't change much in the end. Merely than i barked at the wrong tree. Privileged chapter is still as bad.
Triciavdu I learned my lesson with the elite subscription unless web novel can guarantee that the chapters that I unlock will not disappear after they get rid of this system am not getting it

For Privilege, it is specifically mentioned that chapters unlocked in the Privilege pool will remain unlocked.Paneb of course im paying for each chapter why the fuck would it get locked ffs
CKtalon Think Netflix vs buying a Bluray. You don't get to watch a show on Netflix after your Netflix subscription expires. But you can keep watching a Bluray.
As i never used elite, i didn't even notice it was gone but after reading Triciavdu post. I now know, along with the fact chapter previously unlocked/read? with elite have gone back to being locked after it's closure which is kinda low. Most likely Triciavdu post wasn't about losing unlocked chapter (from elite) via unsub but from elite feature closing. It's two thing. The first one is our choice, the second isn't.
CKtalon I agree with your points. At what point did companies turn out to be like this? If they don’t change things, they WILL lose consumers. They are NOT the only app or business in the market to read novels. This is NOT a benefit or a special right, it’s tacky and it’s scamming people. The rules are also VERY misleading. SMH....

If you consider how it's not meant to be for everyone, it's much easier to understand things. It's not like everyone can buy a bungalow, a Ferrari, right? There are things in life that you have to pay for to have it better than others.
If everyone goes Privilege, then there's really no privilege, isn't that the case? It's like everyone flying first-class. When that happens, it means that demand outstrips supply, and the price should be raised to ensure that there's a new price point for segregation.
This Privilege thing has been around for about 3 years through Patreon, and there are readers who don't mind paying to be ahead, even if it costs a lot. This system is simply catering to them.

CKtalon Seriously man, that comparison is a load of bollocks. First class fliers pay for the PRIVILEGE of getting a better service, more comfortable seats, and better in-flight meals, and guess what? They ACTUALLy get that in return.
They don't pay to get the "privilege" of just getting the idea of how it would be like to be a first class customer, "OH SO THIS IS HOW THE FIRST CLASS SEAT LOOK LIKE? OH WAIT, I STILL HAVE TO PAY TO ACTUALLY SIT IN IT, BECAUSE THE SEAT IS FRIGGIN BOLTED!! OH SO THIS IS WHAT I WILL BE GETTING TO EAT AS A FIRST CLASS FLIER?? OH WAIT! BUT I STILL HAVE TO PAY TO ACTUALLY EAT IT! BECAUSE, AGAIN, THE FANCY IN-FLIGHT MEAL ACTUALLY COMES WITH A LOCK! HOW COOL! Wtf? Because that's how this new privilege system is looking like. We only get the privilege of just seeing the titles of the stockpiled chapters, not reading them.
PS. On Patreon, readers actually get to READ the stockpiled chapters. Not just see the titles!
WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL is it like the advance chapters release in the patreon account of the translators?? Is it a one time payment or evry time we want to read in advance, we need to pay those? Or is it a monthly based? Also, is it by novel or once we pay, example advance 5 chaps 250SS, are we gonna read the other novels too or not? Where is the official thread for this??

Hello, is there anyways to remove the showing 50 unread chapter that are the unpaid 'privilege chapter' ? Seeing in permanence 50 unreads chapter is merely rubbing salt on wound.
Bonus chapter behind a paywall such as with patreon weren't that bad because it wasn't invasive it was a small note at the end of a chapter and basta.
