Just going to tag in here with N0xiety's statement, Im going to be blunt here.
If you speak rudely to an emotionally invested person about the topic their invested in their going to react badly.
Its like talking to a guy who's pet died where their pet is the next day. You dont have that bond or knowledge to respond in a constructive way (which was evident) in then in a response (from someone emotionally invested) N0xiety she called you an SJW (they support safe spaces and are overly reactive to statements so I get where shes coming from comparing you to them) and then you respond abusing your seniority "status" on a topic you have no knowledge of. Then, you react again by trying to dismantle MY knowledge of the statement and the novel (my home ground) (which you admit to not having read) and then you say I dont look? I'm literally reading the novel unlike you, also how am I supposed to look at your about-you post, its super tedious and not at all worth it. And you state why your 'offended' but ts obviously nothing severe. I mean were in a time of change, SJW's and super anti'gay religion peeps. The problem is you probably didn't read MY comment to its fullest. I AGREED WITH YOU. I said and I quote
Mutt I agree that if the author supports it it should be applicable, but that does not excuse you for being a cunt
My entire argument was built upon THE fact, and only THE fact, that instead of just ignoring an emotionally invested N0xiety OBVIOUSLY invested reply, you try and justify yourself past this. IF you just ignored her it would have been just a case of ignorance, but now that your going so far of topic about the one problem: The author is cutting and censoring so much (so much we might not even notice some parts) that pertain to lore and PAST EVENTS. If the author agrees upon it, Kudos to him, BUT he is doing it not with the authors permission (as far as im aware) to avoid controversy about THE PAST. Its not a case of Permission, Its him removing and changing a bunch of someone elses art. (I consider Novels a form of art)
If I went to an art gallery with whiteout, I would probably walk out in handcuffs.
Why cant novels be the same?
